课型：读写课
教材分析：本模块以暑假英语学习班为话题，要求学生能够听懂、读懂并描述这样的学习班。本单元是读写课，学生通过就暑假课程班的话题展开讨论，在学习掌握重点字词的基础上，学会并能正确运用并列复合句，同时能谈论各种语言学习班，描述课程情况和活动经历。
学情分析：本单元的生词虽然不多，但都较生僻，而且文章篇幅大，且句子较长，学生理解起来有一点的难度，好在本单元的话题能够引起同学们的学习兴趣。 根据以上分析我的教学设计如下： 一、教学目标： 1、 语言知识目标
通过读写课文，能够认读并正确运用重点词汇，获取有关英语学习班的文章信息。 2、 语言技能目标
运用skimming，scanning，guessing等阅读技巧进行阅读，从文章中找出有关信息，理解大意；同时学习并能正确运用并列复合句。 3、情感态度目标
通过了解LA暑假英文培训班的相关信息，激起学生“走出去”的愿望，提高学习英语的兴趣，并拓展学生视野，实现情感体验和得到文化熏陶。 二、重点与难点： 1、 教学重点
认读并掌握文中的话题词汇，获取English course的细节信息。同时，经过各种阅读技巧的运用，反复阅读课文，达到掌握并能独立创作出各种学习班的文章的输出目标，同时也提高灵活运用各种阅读技巧的能力。 2、 教学难点：
本文篇幅大，句子长，生词偏，学生阅读存在很大挑战，这在很大程度上会影响学生的阅读效果。 三、教学过程
Pre-reading
1、Warm-up Sing a happy song
【设计意图】通过唱英语歌曲，消除同学们的紧张情绪, 激发同学们学习英语的兴趣和学好英语的愿望，从而自然过渡English courses的学习。 2、Lead-in 播放LA的视频& Free talk
【设计意图】根据教材内容，运用多媒体，呈现学习背景，让学生进一步了解洛杉机，为进入本单元话题做好铺垫。通过free talk 导入新课
