Prevention Is Better Than Treatment As is vividly shown in Picture 1, the computer is releasing all kinds of information, of which false information and online rumors are a part, making it hard for people to distinguish between the true and false information. While in Picture 2, a pair of scissors is firmly cutting the long tongue of the online rumors.

The message the pictures convey is clear — Online rumors are so powerful that they have caused negative influences to the social order and people’s daily lives. When false information gets released, it will cause great harm and loss as well. And the serious consequences will have been made even if we finally succeed in fighting against the online rumors.

As far as I’m concerned, rather than try hard to remove the online rumors, we should ban the false information before it comes out. Preventing the online rumors from spreading should be a top priority. After all, prevention is better than treatment. (150 words)
