Optimal design of heat exchanger based on HTRI

Abstract

This paper gives some typical examples: Saturated steam condensate, condensation of steam which containing non-condensable gas, oil condensate. Through detailed calculations of these examples, we described the factors affected in the process design such as equipment selection, the temperature of process fluid, tube length, diameter, baffle spacing, baffle plates and so on.we give the range of the adjustment factors in the factor.

Meanwhile, in the reasonable adjudgment of the results, the paper gives the corresponding data range. Such as overdesign,velocity, flow distribution, thermal distribution. This information is very important for learners.

Also,This is the first time to summarize the warning message and the key which was give by HTRI.this can help learners understading their method of adjustment.

In order to make full use of the aspen plus¡¯sperfect property package, this graduation thesis also give the way of using aspen plus to simulate oil properties and related data import method. Makes the design calculations to be more accurate.
