“The biggest thing is to stay organized,” says Philip Tubiolo, a graduate from Bayport High School. He says you can use either paper or online tools to help with your studies. “I would transfer(转换)paper notes online and make study guides. Everything was in one place for finals and midterms.”

“I knew I was more of a science kid,” says Tubiolo. “I took AP Biology in 10th grade and loved it.”AP(Advanced Placement) classes are college-level classes that high school students can take. He also joined his school’s Science Olympiad team. This allowed him to take part in biology and math contests(比赛). He even decided on a college major(主修科目), although most students don’t need to make this choice so early. Tubiolo is studying biomedical(生物医学) engineering at his university.
Find healthy ways to relieve(缓解)stress and have fun
“It’s not jut study, study, study,”says Todd.“ I was a track( 田径 ) runner. That was a stress reliever from study.” Sachem North High School graduate Erin agrees. “Though schoolwork is important, it’s equally important to have a little fun,”says the Northeastern University freshman.
Put off dating(约会)

Watch where you work
A bedroom, study or any room where you can get away from noise is good for you to do your homework. But don’t study on your comfortable bed, or you might fall asleep there.
Take a break
Most people’s attention doesn’t last very long, so take some breaks while doing your homework.
Taking a 15-minute break every hour is a good way for most people.
Get help when you need it
Sometimes even though you are listening carefully in class, some subjects seem too hard. The first person to ask for help is your teacher. He or she may be able to work with you before or after school and explain things more clearly. Your classmates may also be able to give you a hand.
