often had more chemical reactions in the front of their brains. The researchers thought lowering the temperature of the brain might help.

The first two nights of testing, the patients wore no water caps. During the next two nights, the caps were worn, but the water was not cooled. Then the researchers cooled the water a little for two nights. 40

The researchers found that the water caps did not help the insomnia patients until the temperature was about 14¡æ. Most of the patients fell asleep faster and slept better when the coolest water was moving around their heads. A£®Some say sheep counting might help. B£®It just means cooling down your brain. C£®It is late at night and you are still awake. D£®The caps had tubes inside filled with water.

E£®If that does not work, listen to some soft, beautiful music.

F£®They believe they have discovered something important that needs more research. G£®On the final two nights of the study, the temperature of the water was made much cooler.

Have you ever not wanted to do something so badly? Well, that¡¯s how I 41 about joining Madcaps, a mothers and daughters¡¯ club assisting philanthropies(´ÈÉÆÊÂÒµ). 42 , my feeling changed finally. Now I believe if you adopt a(n) 43 attitude, you might just 44 enjoying it.

Six months ago, my mom told me the club asked us to work as 45 at Saint Vincent de Paul Homeless shelter. That meant I had to 46 in the dirty homeless shelter for at least 20 hours.

The first time we went there, a lady led us to the kitchen where we 47 my five fellow Madcaps classmates ¡ª they also wore the same mark. Since I¡¯m usually 48 awkward, I had never talked with any of them earlier. Worse still, my mom was asked to help outside the kitchen, leaving me totally 49 to serve food with them. Soon large numbers of homeless families 50 in like rushing river. A little girl, around 5 years old, walked up to me. I 51 her a cold sandwich. She took it and joined her family quickly. As she walked away, I 52 she was wearing a coat, clearly too big for her, hanging 53 on her thin body, and couldn¡¯t help thinking how much I had 54 with her. It suddenly struck me that how 55 I am.

After that moment I had a 56 of heart. Now I love Madcaps and don¡¯t miss one meeting. I have 57 awkwardness when communicating and have many friends. And this year I am sure I will do more than the 58 20 hours of philanthropies. So that is how I have made a 59 by doing one thing I don¡¯t want to do. If you have an open 60 about things, you can accomplish more and become a well-rounded person.

It is a general rule that all types of activity result in boredom when they are performed on 61 routine basis. Actually, we can see this principle at work in people of all 62 (age). For example, on Christmas morning, children are excited 63 playing with their new toys. But their interest soon dies down and by January 64 is those same toys that can 65 (find) put away in the basement. The world is full of half-filled stamp albums and unfinished models, each 66 (stand) as a monument to someone¡¯s passing interest. Adolescents enter high school with great 67 (excite) but are soon looking forward to graduation. And then, how many adults, 68 now complain about the long drives to work, eagerly drove for hours at a time when they first got their driver¡¯s license? Before people retire, they usually plan to do a lot of great things, which they never had time to do while

working. But soon after retirement, all of the hobbies become as boring as the jobs they 69 (leave). And, like the children in January, they go searching for new toys. Therefore, it is high time that you 70 (add) variety to your daily life.

I wish I can be an excellent cook when I grow up because I enjoy cooking but I want to bring happiness to people who taste my food.

I still remember clearly that happened when I cooked for the first time. I almost had my finger cutting when I cut onions and made a mess of the kitchen. Worse still, the dish I cooked tasted so terribly that I even thought about quitting. Thanks for my mother¡¯s encouragement and patient guidance, I continued practicing cook at home whenever I had time. It was then my cooking skills improved gradually.

I¡¯ll try my best to learn and improve my cooking skills in order that to make your dream a reality. And I believe I can make it!
