Ⅰ、现在进行时

1.现在进行时的基本用法：

（1）表示现在（指说话人说话时）正在发生的事

情，常与now（现在），at present （现在），at the moment （此刻）等时间状语连用。

We are listening to the teacher in the class now. He is playing in the garden at the moment. （ 2）习惯进行：表示长期的或重复性的动作，说话时动作未必正在进行，常与today，this week，this evening，these days，recently 等时间状语连用。 Mr. Green is writing another novel these days. She is learning piano under Mr. Smith recently.

（3）已经确定或安排好的将来活动（进行时表示将来），常与将来时间连用。 I'm leaving for New York next week. 我准备下周去纽约。（已经安排好了） We're flying to Paris tomorrow.我们准备明天坐飞机去巴黎。（票已经拿到手了） （4）某些动词不用于进行时态 1）表示 “知道或了解”的动词，believe, doubt, forget, imagine, know, remember, realize, suppose, understand.

2)表示 “看起来或看上去”的动词：appear, seem

3)表示“喜爱或不喜爱”的动词：hate, like ,love, prefer

4)表示“构成或来源”的动词:be/come from, contain, include 5)表示“感官”的动词：hear, see, smell, sound, taste.

Ⅱ、过去进行时

过去进行时态：过去进行时表示过去某时正在进行的状态或动作。结构如下 be（was/were）+doing

否定： be（was/were）not +doing

疑问： be（was/were）提前,句号变问号。 过去进行时用法：

1.表示过去某时间点或时间段发生的事情。at+时间点，at this time, at that time… My father was watching TV at 6p.m. yesterday.

I was doing my homework from 7 to 9 yesterday evening.

2. 表示过去某时间点或时间段发生的事情。when从句表示时间点。 I was reading a book when he came in. He was cleaning the room when I saw him. 3. 两个动作（延续性）同时发生，主从句的动词都可用过去进行时。从句多用while引导。

While other babies were sleeping in their parents’ arms, Lang Lang was learning how to read music.

He was practising the piano while I was cooking. 4.when 与while区别总结：

when＋从句，可以延续性动词(过去进行时)，也可以短暂性动词（一般过去时）； while＋从句, 一定是延续性动词(过去进行时)或一般过去时（表示一种状态） 两个动作（延续性）同时发生，主从句的动词都可用过去进行时。从句多用while引导。
