When可以表示当...时，也可以表示在...期间，既可以指代时间点也可以指代时间段。 While只能表示在...期间，只能指代时间段。

= The earthquake broke out when/ while we were watching TV.

40. 区别 because/ because of in case/ in case of... Because/in case+ 状语从句
