51题:填N respect

空格前是come to(慢慢开始),后为名词,此空应填动词,根据文意,选择\尊重\。

52题:填I establishing

空格前为连词while, 空格应填名词,但后无谓语动词,应改填分词。二选一,根据文义,我们选\确立\。

55题:填O widen

根据“平行对等”,锁定动词,

根据“同现搭配”,widen one’s horizon/outlook=开阔视野,选择widen。

如不知此搭配,同样可根据“同现搭配”derive from,将derive排除。

如果这着对你不管用,还有灵活的技巧:根据该句“情感色彩,一致为解”:应选与enrich;develop;train一致的积极词汇widen。

56题:填M properly

此空前为动宾短语use leisure,应填副词,根据文义,选择\适当地\。

【实战演练】 【2008/06 CET4】Some years ago I was offered a

writing assignment that would require three months of travel through Europe. I had been abroad a couple of times, but I could hardly -47- to know my way around the continent. Moreover, my knowledge of foreign languages was -48- to a little college French.
