J. K. Rowling, author of the hugely popular Harry Potter series, has written her own special magic in the fantasy genre (体裁). Though she may be the best-known fantasy writer to the current generation, she is hardly the first. A number of others, many of whom, like Rowling, are British, were writing fantasy novels before J.
