It's true that English is a global language. There is a trend that more and more people begin to speak it. Some people use it as a mother tongue, while others use it as a foreign language.

In China, English is learnt nationwide. Many people have learnt it for ages, but find the acquisition of it very difficult. Most of them blame the absence of language environment. That's not true. In fact, we are

surrounded by various English media and different kinds of study materials are available.

There is no doubt that everyone wishes for fluency and accuracy in English. We all want to accelerate our English study. To attain this target, we need to adjust our study methods.

First of all, we must enlarge our vocabulary and read much. You know, only enough input can ensure our output.

Secondly, we must combine theory with practice. Adequate practice will guarantee constant progress. We must use English as a tool for we learn it not merely for diploma but for competence.

Thirdly, we need to write much in English. We should avoid ambiguous words so that our writing can be transparent.

Finally, I want to say that on the one hand, we should rely on our own efforts to achieve success; on the other hand, we'd better register a training class since teachers are also necessary.

I sincerely hope all of us will win great success in learning English£¡
