Thousands of years ago, people only lived in hot areas. They did not live in cold countries because they could not keep warm. Then they learnt how to make clothes. When an animal was killed, they cut off its skin. They wrapped the skin around their bodies. The skins kept them warm. Skins which had fur on them were the best.

At first man did not know how to make fire. Sometimes lightening hit a forest and started a fire. The people took some of this fire to make a fire near their homes. A fire was very important for three reasons. It kept them warm. It frightened wild animals. Then another thing was discovered: if they cooked food, it would taste much better!

But men still did not know how to make fire. When they had a fire, they did not let it stop burning. If it went out, they could not start it again. They had to wait for lightening to start another fire.

Later, they discovered how to make fire. They can rub two pieces of wood to make a fire. Another way of making fire is to knock two pieces of stones together. This makes a spark. They can use this spark to make a fire.

Nowadays we have matches. We can carry them in our pockets and make a fire when we want to, and many people use heaters to keep warm. We also use oil, gas and electricity for cooking.

Sure, it's good to get along with your teacher because it makes the time you spend in the classroom more pleasant.

And yes, it's good to get along with your teacher because, in general, it's smart to learn how to relate to the different types of people you'll meet throughout your life.

But really, there's one super-important reason why you should get along with your teacher. When you do, \bursts right open,\says Evelyn Vuko, a longtime teacher who writes an education column called Teacher Says for the Washington Post.

In fact, kids who get along with their teachers not only learn more, but they're more comfortable asking questions and getting extra help. This makes it easier to understand new material and do your best on tests. When you have this kind of relationship with a teacher, he or she can be someone to turn to with problems, such as problems with learning or school issues, such as bullying.

As a kid in a primary or middle school, you're at a wonderful stage in your life.

You're like a sponge, able to soak up lots of new and exciting information. On top of that, you're able to think about all this information in new ways. Your teacher knows that, and in most cases, is very excited to be the person who's giving you all that material and helping you put it together. Remember, teachers are people, too, and they feel great if you're open to what they're teaching you. That's why they wanted to be teachers in the first place --to teach!

Some kids may be able to learn in any situation, whether they like the teacher or

not. But most kids are sensitive to the way they get along with the teacher, and if things aren't going well, they won't learn well and won't enjoy being in class. Questions 22 to 25 are based on the passage you have just heard. 22. What does the passage mainly tell us?

In some lands certain kinds of insurance are (26) compulsory. In others, most

kinds are (27) practically unknown. In addition, the cost of insurance and the type of coverage (28) provided vary widely from country to country. But the (29) fundamental principle of insurance -- sharing risk -- remains the same.

Naturally, the more property a person owns, the more he or she has to lose. (30)

Similarly, the more family responsibility a person has, the greater the (31) impact if his or her death or physical disability. Having insurance can (32) reduce one's concern about the possibility of (33) suffering a loss of property or a disabling accident.

Yet, is it wise to spend money on insurance even though a claim may never be

made? Is keeping a spare tire in the car a wasted investment, even if the tire is never needed? (34) The sense of security to the car driver may make the expense of the extra tire worthwhile. While financial compensation cannot make up for certain losses, it may compensate for other losses.

Much of the insurance purchased by individuals falls into the categories of

property, health, disability, and life insurance.

Property insurance is to insure against the loss of property -- home, business, cars,

or other possessions. It is among the most common forms of risk management.

(35) Health insurance usually pays some medical expenses or may pay for only certain medical care. In many places workers may receive health insurance as a condition of their employment.

Disability insurance provides some income if a person is injured and cannot work.

Life insurance provides financial assistance to a person's dependents in case of his or her death. (36) Such insurance has enabled many families to carry on their life after the injury or the death of their main bread-winner.
