3. Responsibility
3.1 Primary Responsibility
1) Do the production plan and commitment to Program base on customer’s forecast. 2) Issue Production order and control material inventory.
3) Follow up daily production output and feedback production problem 4) Summary weekly and monthly production and delivery status. 5) Do the job which requested by PMC and material manager.
3.2 Secondary Responsibility
1) Department ISO auditor for quality system.
2) Force and stress ISO related knowledge to department guys, and spread the related information of
quality control to all guys.
4. Job Requirements
4.1 Education Qualification
1) College or above.
2) At least one or two years relevant work experience.
4.2 Knowledge & Skills
1) Good communication and cooperation ability is must. 2) Simple English written and speaking is required. 3) Good over-review ability for whole plan.
4.3 Personal Attributes
1) Maturity, highly responsibility and good co operations. 3) Carefully and impressible for the numbers.
4.4 Experience
1) Familiar with planner’s job and work flow.
3) At least 1-2 years of material planning experience in big manufacturer.
4.5 Other Requirements
1) Able to work under conditions of heavy pressure and time constraint. 2) Can overtime without any complaint if job required. 3) Good ability of corresponding and organization

5.1 Internal
1) Involved production all related persons, eg, production supervisor , clerk , QA and engineers etc. 3) Direct report to PMC manager and material manager.

1. Role Purpose Statement (设立此职位要达到的目的/原因)
The Component Engineer (mechanical parts) role is to provide technical support, technical capability & accountability to the Materials organization to drive continuity of supply, supplier development, supplier readiness and improvement activities in order to improve the cost, delivery, response, service & quality requirements for our customers. He or she:
1. Facilitates & identifies opportunities for reengineering, redesign or component (mechanical parts)
substitution to provide cost reduction or quality improvement, and manage commodities in identifying opportunities to source with Flextronics Strategic Suppliers.

2. Provide technical back-up for alternate sourcing recommendations, such as identifying relevant
specification differences and part design changes required, and providing the interface with the supplier’s design team. 3. Ensure rapid development of E&E industry requirement (WEEE & RoHS) at the up-stream supply
chain management to ensure full compliance to Flextronics/Customer implementation requirement:
a. Ensure supply chain compliance with global legislative requirements pertaining to lead
elimination and reduction of hazardous substances in electronics products. b. Provide our customers with materials procurement and engineering support to meet
their lead free and environmental compliance requirements.
c. Work with development community and manufacturing teams to ensure that
components are compatible with lead-free manufacturing processes
4. Provide technical support to Flextronics divisions as needed to resolve manufacturing problems
related to component (mechanical parts) performance, component handling requirement & process, or customer AVL issues.
5. Establish and implement Supply Base Management & Sourcing processes to strengthen upstream
supply chain management.

3.1 Primary Responsibility (主要的工作职责)
1. Understands and identifies the immediate needs to focus for 2004 and long term planning. 2. Responsible for the identification, selection, qualification, approval, development, audit
and performance management of Supply Sources to meet or comply with E&E Industry Requirement Goals.
3. Drives and ensures environmental compliance requirements are being addressed in
Flextronics’ general business agreements (GBAs) with suppliers or for non-strategic supplier – in the Doumen/regional business agreement
4. Establishes long-term execution plans with Supply Sources that place Flextronics’ in a lead
position at its upstream supply chain management thereby assuring readiness of COS and best in class quality and pricing to provide advantage to Flextronics and its customers. 5. Maximizes the purchasing power through component consolidation or supply base
consolidation, where possible, within supply sources.
6. Assists in new BOM Analysis prior to RFQ, where necessary when component engineering
skill set is required.
7. Provides component level (mechanical parts) expertise and consulting to Design Engineers
to ensure the use of high quality, high reliability, cost effective components (mechanical parts) in new designs
8. Works closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Production and Quality Assurance to resolve
component-related production problems and develop standards and practices to avoid component (mechanical parts) problems

9. Participates in the Material Review Board and resolves non-conforming material notices 10. Participates in the Supplier Review Board – works closely with suppliers to resolve
component (mechanical parts) problems to identify \permanent solutions, and towards achieving six sigma quality level.
11. Secure samples of similar components (mechanical parts) with suspected functionality
differences for testing in the product design
12. Accurately maintains an up-to-date component (mechanical parts) library as a resource for
design and sustaining engineering.
13. Develops innovative test and approval methods for parametric, environmental and
functional assessment of components (mechanical parts) in response to approving equivalents or product/process change notification.
14. Develops procedures for the routine request of manufacturers reliability information,
populate and maintain reliability information databases to enable accurate parts count reliability predictions for designs.
