TestProcedures
Radiatedemissiontestappliestoharmonics/spursthatfallintherestricted bandslistedinSection15.205.Themaximumpermittedaveragefieldstrength islistedinSection15.209.Apre-ampisnecessaryforthismeasurement. For measurementabove1GHz,setRBW=1MHz,VBW=10Hz,Sweep:Auto.If the emission is pulsed, modify the unit for continuousoperation;use the settingsshownabove,thencorrectthereadingbysubtracting thepeak-average correctionfactor,derivedfromtheappropriatedutycyclecalculation.
TheEUTwas placedon a turntablethatis 0.8 meteraboveground. The turntable rotated360degreestodetermine thepositionofthemaximum emissionlevel.TheEUTwasset3metersawayfromthereceivingantenna, whichwasmountedonanantennatower.Theantennamovedupanddown between1meterand4meterstofindoutthemaximum emission level. Broadbandantenna(CalibratedBilogAntenna)orHornantennawasusedas receivingantenna.Bothhorizontalandverticalpolarizationsoftheantenna weresetonmeasurement.Inordertofindthemaximumemission,allofthe interferencecablesweremanipulated accordingtoANSIC63.4:2003 requirementsduringradiatedemissiontest.
The bandwidthof TestReceiverR&S ESVS10 was set at 120 kHz from 30MHz to1000MHz.
Thebandwidth oftheVBWwassetat1MHzandRBWwassetat1MHzfor peakemissionmeasurementabove1GHz for SpectrumAgilentE7405A. Thefrequencyrangefrom30MHzto25GHz(Upto10thharmonicsfrom fundamentalfrequency)was checked.
TheEUTwas testedunderthefollowingtestmodes:
