这里的it代指the tea,茶是不可数名词,看作单数。

but 但是,连词,表转折。can‘t = can not = cannot 不能,不会。 5、There it is! 就在那儿!倒装句,表强调。【回顾Lesson 13/15】Here it is! Here they are. 6、Where are the cups? 杯子是可数名词,所以要用与are连用。 7、There are some (cups) in the cupboard.【There be句型】

直译:水壶开了。???其实不是水壶开了,而是水壶里的水开了。 四、总结与练习

这里的come here a minute不能直译为―来一分钟‖,而是―来一小会儿‖。 或者说:come here a moment;come here half a minute

情态动词没有人称和数的变化,后面用动词原形。 do sth. for sb. 为某人做某事。

这里的's是表示所属关系,即―某人的‖。注意发音 terrible 糟糕的,可怕的。例如:a terrible day,terrible weather 四、总结与练习

1、情态动词can的用法。 (1)can + do(动词原形),不因人称和数的变化而变化。

I can read this book. She can read this book. They can read these books. (2)在疑问句中can要提前。否定形式can not = cannot = can‘t -Can you read this book? -Yes, I can. / No, I can‘t. -What can you do? -I can read this book.

-Can she read this book? -Yes, she can. / No, she can‘t. -What can she do? -She can read this book.

-Can they read these books? -Yes, they can. / No, they can‘t. -What can they do? -They can read these books.

Lesson 47 - A cup of coffee & Lesson 48 - Do you like...? Do you want...?

1、-Do you like coffee? -Yes, I do.

陈述句:I like... → 一般疑问句:Do you like...? → 回答:Yes, I do. / No, I don‘t. 因为like是个实义动词,因此变疑问句时不能直接将它提前,而要借一个助动词do前置。 答语中do代指like...。→ 特殊疑问句:What do you like? 2、-Do you want a cup? -Yes, please. 表示接受。 -Do you want any sugar? - Yes, please. 表示接受。 -Do you want any milk? -No, thank you. 表示拒绝。

陈述句:I want... → 一般疑问句:Do you want...? → 回答:Yes, I do. / No, I don‘t. cup是可数名词;sugar和milk是不可数名词,在疑问句中要用any表示―一些‖。 3、I don't like milk in my coffee.

含有实义动词变否定句,要先借一个助动词,然后在其后加not,即don‘t = do not。 4、I like black coffee. 清咖啡,不加牛奶或咖啡伴侣(white coffee) 扩展:black tea 不是―黑茶‖而是―红茶‖。

5、Do you like biscuits? 这里biscuits用了复数,泛指饼干(可数)。 Do you want one? 这里的one = a biscuit 四、总结与练习

1、助动词do的用法:帮助含有实义动词的句子变为否定句和疑问句。 例如:(1)I like eggs. → I don‘t like eggs.

→ -Do you like eggs? -Yes, I do. No, I don‘t. → I like eggs, but I don‘t want one.

(2)I want milk. → I don‘t want milk.

→ -Do you want milk? -Yes, I do. No, I don‘t. → I like milk, but I don‘t want any.
